Proof – Premier Recap
Thank you to all who attended and supported the Premier show of Proof! It was a great success and I’m thankful to have been a part of it! For those interested in what Proof is exactly – here is a snippet from their latest press release:
PROOF Modern Art was founded in January of 2008 by Nick Pino and
Suzanne Garcia Pino to promote talented and progressive local, national, and
international artists, while at the same time helping to continue the
transformation of Santa Fe as a contemporary art market. Our vision rests on
the premise that Santa Fe has always been a city capable of producing great
works of art, and that this strong tradition can be carried forward with
integrity, originality, and progressive intent equal to the modern art centers of
New York, London, and Los Angeles.At this time PROOF Modern Art represents six artists: Chas Banks, Aaron
Czerny, Susanne Ducker, Colin Edgington, Douglas Gray, and J. Ward. Each
of these artists lives and works in New Mexico, or has New Mexican roots.
Each of these artists produces exceptionally original work – work that
represents a new and positive direction in the Santa Fe contemporary art
market.
